Restorations 6 inch Brashear Refractor and Mount. Phillips Academy, Andover, MA. The telescope was completely restored in 1990. All optical and Mechanical Parts, and drives were restored to original condition. The dome and drives were also repaired . The Date on the Scope (circa 1885). 18 inch Fecker-Newtonian. Phillips Academy, Andover MA, circa 1959. Optics, Drives and Mechanical were refurbished along with the dome. 90 mm Brashear Refractor. Phillips Academy, Exeter, circa 1857. Beautiful instrument, the lens was signed by Brashear the scope was under the name GREGG. Kutter Scheifspeglier. Bought at the Stellafane swap tables, I found the original plans on the internet and rebuilt the entire scope per specs. Excellent Planetary and double star instrument. Currently owned by Gary Hand. 6 inch Newtonian Scope hand made by Charles Howard Snowden, circa1940. ( He even made the eyepieces!! ) The instrument was iron tube with brass focuser, brass tube rings and secondary mirror holder. It was originally mounted on a cast iron pipe style mount; a rather unique instrument and the detail and functionally of all the optical and mechanical parts was intriguing. Mr. Snowden was a mechanical engineer from upstate New York...once the secondary was replaced and optics aligned the views were stunning. 15.5 Inch Fecker-Cassegrain, circa 1950. This instrument was formally from Queens University in Canada, the completed instrument holds a 3 inch refractor (guide scope) as well as a 6 inch Camera. This instrument upon completion will be housed at Sweet Hill Observatory in Plaistow, NH.
